The Space Atlas
The purpose of "Supplement PO3. The Space Atlas" is to present a web interface for Galactic 2.4 to the fans of the program who for some reason not sits in front of a PC with that program installed.

  • See map as DotMap

    Other Galaxies

  • The TNE Galaxy
  • The T20 Galaxy

    Random Subsectors
To generate random subsectors use "1001 Subsectors", the web based random subsector generator for Galactic 2.4.

    Contact

Then You should mail BeRKA and tell him!

The data presented here is mostly from Jim Vassilakos program Galactic 2.4.
Where a Creditfile was included for a sector. it is also included here.

Included in Galactic 2.4 is also a discussion of the traveller Copyrights over the years. This is not included here. Download the program to read it.
The authors and/or compilors of the sector not included in Galactic 2.4 has been asked for permission to publish their sectors here. (Some of them have not replied yet.)

  • Technical notes
This site uses the database used in Galactic 2.4. It uses perl programs to read these and generate sector and subsector maps, and to do the planet writeups. The java-subsector-viewer is made by Jo Grant (ThankYou Jo for letting me use it!)
The database for Spinward Marches can be found at URL: http://zho.berka.com/data/CLASSIC/SPINMAR/

    Changes
If there is a letter "h" in position 63 of the subsectordata, this now means that there is a hyperlink to a writeup on the web.

    Downloads

  • Sec2gal converts any sectorfile to a galactic database.

    Known problems

  • None

    Future fixes and changes

  • Add alternative sectors. (Maranatha, Paranoia Beyond, Diaspora 1129 etc.)
  • Add more weblinks to Pete Grays writeups at BARD.
  • Set up "other galaxies" (Core Route, M0, N:th interstellar wars, etc...).
  • Add a key of the characters used on the ASCII subsector hex maps.
  • Add a key of the symbols used on the JAVA subsector hex maps.
  • Experiment with different textsizes.

    Ideas, Comments and BugReports
Send Ideas, Comments and BugReports to BeRKA.
