If you don’t own Traveller 5 yet, then you should have a look at this. This is Traveller 5 as it should have been. Three books, and “complete with errata and a handful of useful upgrades!”
I already have T5, but this looks so good that I am thinking about backing this.
JTAS from Mongoose. This looks really good. There will be lots of stuff from the original JTAS from GDW that will be updated. There will also be some new stuff.
Mongoose has delivered some really nice kickstarters in the past. The only thing that worries me is Brexit.
There is a 112 page free preview that can be downloaded now.
One interesting thing in the preview is the Miniphants. In the Mongoose Sword World module they were not described as in the old JTAS #16. But in the preview, the Miniphants have not been changed from the original. That is a good thing. This means that Mongoose is de-canonizing their own (or parts of their own) problematic Sword World module. 🙂
Squadron Strike: Traveller is a Kickstarter project for a game of Traveller Space Combat. It looks quite clever and a lot easier to play than Mayday.
It has already reached a few stretch goals, so if you need (or just want) a Traveller Space Combat game, then you should check it out.
Marc Miller has written a book. You can order it by supporting his kickstarter campaign.
Today I got my Fat Cat. I have waited a long time for this Kickstarter sponsored book to arrive. I had to wait for some extra time, since my copy was lost in the mail.
But now it is here and it looks great. The images of the ship may appear a bit more plastic, but I think the deck-plans looks really great in the dead tree version.
My initial review of the pdf is almost three years old. You can still get the pdf version of the Fat Cat at DriveThruRPG.
