When sending the results from the Random Subsector Generator to TravellerMap (to render the maps as pretty images instead of ascii or java) you can now chose Draft and FASA style for your generated map.
The Draft style is similar to the draft of the original Spinward Marches.
One of the more popular pages at the Zhodani Base is the Random Subsector Generator. With the help of the generator, some text editing and the post function at Traveller Maps I created this subsector. I was inspired by Point Central from the Valérian Comic, Ambassador of the Shadows (and others). I thought it was an interesting idea with a place where different cultures could meet. Babylon-5 is a similar place. I was also inspired by the planet Rubanis from the Valérian comic Les Spectres d’Inverloch (and others). It was because of Rubanis that I decided to make Origo Point a planet.
Since this image was so popular on facebook, I did a cleaned-up version of it. The original was created using the LBB Front-Cover Rendering Machine with an image of Pluto manually added.
Traveller5 has been updated. Almost two years after I got it. Now it is Traveller v5.09. It is almost a 100 pages longer. Lots of mistakes have been corrected. Examples and an index has been added. This makes it a lot better than before.
I know there has been lots of criticism about Traveller5. It looks like Far Future Enterprises has listen to a lot of that criticism. (Except that the book is too big and need to be divided into smaller sections.)
From what I understand, there will be a version 5.1. That is good since there are still a few problems in this (5.09) version. Hydrographics in world-building is one (that I think is very important) and problems with the index is another.
All backers of the Kickstarter project and everyone who has bought it will get a coupon so they can pick it up for free at DriveThruRPG.
Today I got my Fat Cat. I have waited a long time for this Kickstarter sponsored book to arrive. I had to wait for some extra time, since my copy was lost in the mail.
But now it is here and it looks great. The images of the ship may appear a bit more plastic, but I think the deck-plans looks really great in the dead tree version.
